Pressure testing & nitrogen purge

Control high-pressure nitrogen before it reaches the system.

The RHP800 regulates cylinder pressure down to a usable delivery pressure for HVAC/R maintenance, installation and commissioning tasks. The dual-gauge arrangement helps technicians check both cylinder pressure and delivery pressure while adjusting flow for the job.

  • Professional nitrogen regulator for HVAC/R service work.
  • Designed for purging, pressure testing and leak checking.
  • Useful during nitrogen-assisted brazing to help reduce internal oxidation inside copper pipework.
  • Large T-handle with stainless steel pressure adjusting screw and bushing.
  • Dual 2 in. gauges for cylinder-side and delivery-side readings.
  • 1/4 in. flare male outlet for compatible service hoses and field setups.

Read the regulator in two places.

Cylinder side 4000 PSI gauge

Confirms available cylinder pressure before and during the job.

Delivery side 1000 PSI gauge

Shows the controlled pressure being sent through the outlet.

Regulator setup path

Set the job up from cylinder to system.

Match the regulator, hose and downstream equipment to the pressure test or purge task before opening the cylinder and adjusting delivery pressure.

01

Cylinder connection

Secure the regulator to the nitrogen cylinder connection and confirm the inlet is suitable for the cylinder being used.

02

Pressure adjustment

Back the T-handle out before opening the cylinder, then increase delivery pressure gradually to the required setting.

03

Outlet to system

Connect a compatible hose or test setup to the 1/4 in. flare outlet and check all service connections before pressurising.

Common HVAC/R uses

One regulator for pressure, purge and brazing support.

The RHP800 suits technicians who need controlled nitrogen for installation, maintenance and diagnostic work on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Pressure testing Use controlled nitrogen pressure to test system integrity according to site and equipment requirements.
Leak checking Pressurise the circuit with a stable regulated supply before checking joints, components and service points.
Line purging Use nitrogen flow to clear lines and prepare systems during installation or service work.
Brazing support Run a suitable nitrogen purge during brazing to help reduce internal oxidation and scale in copper pipework.

Pressure safety checks

Use the correct rating for every part of the setup.

  • Secure the nitrogen cylinder and keep the regulator, hose and connected equipment within their rated limits.
  • Do not use the regulator relief valve as downstream system protection.
  • Open the cylinder valve slowly, increase pressure gradually and leak-check connections before testing.
  • Release pressure and back out the adjusting handle when the regulator is not in use.
