Uniweld
Vapor Vue, 1/4 in. Flare
The Uniweld UW-VV1 Vapor Vue® is a visible vapour charging device that connects to the low side of a charging manifold to help HVAC/R technicians charge refrigerant as vapour while monitoring movement through the double sight glass.
Technical snapshot
Key VV1 details.
Built for refrigerant charging workflows where technicians need visual confirmation of flow and controlled vapour charging through a manifold setup.Visible vapour charging
Charge through the low side while watching refrigerant movement.
The VV1 uses natural heat absorption to flash liquid refrigerant from the cylinder and charge it into the system as vapour. The double sight glass gives technicians a visual reference while the manifold valve controls the vapour rate.
- Designed to connect to the low side of a charging manifold.
- Helps change liquid refrigerant to vapour before it enters the system.
- Provides visual confirmation through the double sight glass.
- Supports charging, recovery, evacuation and diagnostic service workflows.
- Compact 1/4 in. flare accessory for HVAC/R field work.
What it helps check
The sight glass helps technicians confirm whether refrigerant is moving, flashing and clearing through the line while the manifold valve is adjusted.
- Visible flow during vapour charging.
- Liquid-to-vapour activity through the device.
- Line movement during charging and service checks.
Charging path
Liquid in, vapour out, controlled at the manifold.
Place the Vapor Vue® in the low-side charging path, use the manifold valve to control the flow, and watch the sight glass for movement as refrigerant flashes to vapour.
Liquid refrigerant leaves the cylinder and enters the charging setup.
The VV1 absorbs heat and helps flash liquid refrigerant to vapour.
Use the manifold valve to control vapour rate into the system.
Service checks
Use with the correct refrigerant, manifold and charging procedure.
The Vapor Vue® is a charging accessory, not a replacement for safe refrigerant handling, pressure monitoring or manufacturer charging instructions. Confirm the system, refrigerant and hose path before opening valves.
- Inspect the sight glass, flare fittings, seals and hose connections.
- Confirm the refrigerant type and required charging method.
- Connect to the low side of the charging manifold as specified by the setup.
- Monitor system pressures and temperatures throughout the charge.
- Use the manifold valve to control vapour rate through the VV1.
- Follow refrigerant handling, recovery and site safety procedures.
