Aluminium and dissimilar-metal repair

Repair small components, tubing and coils without carrying a full alloy kit.

Uni-4300 is made for technicians facing aluminium repair work on service calls or at the bench. It can be used for aluminium-to-aluminium repair as well as aluminium-to-copper and aluminium-to-brass joining where the repair method is suitable for the component.

  • Compact Uni-4300 solder kit for HVAC/R, refrigeration and maintenance use.
  • Useful for aluminium radiators, sheet metal, aluminium tubing and selected coil repairs.
  • Can support aluminium-to-copper and aluminium-to-brass joining tasks.
  • Syringe-style applicator helps place flux accurately in small repair zones.
  • Low listed melting point helps reduce the heat required compared with higher-temperature repair methods.

Best suited for

Keep this kit in the service vehicle or workshop for controlled aluminium repair tasks where the repair area is small and accessible.

  • Aluminium coil, tube and light component repairs.
  • Aluminium-to-copper tube transitions in HVAC/R service work.
  • Detailed bench repairs where precise flux placement matters.

Kit contents

Everything centres on controlled flux placement and steady solder flow.

The kit format gives technicians the solder, flux and applicator needed for practical aluminium soft solder repairs in one compact pack.

Uni-4300 solder 10 ft coil

Aluminium soft solder coil for joining and repair work on compatible metals.

Flux bottle 2 oz

Flux helps prepare the heated metal surface and supports solder wetting during repair.

Applicator Metal tip

Useful for reaching small joints, preheated tubing and tight service repair areas.

Pack format Carded kit

Compact enough for service vehicles, maintenance teams and workshop benches.

Material guide

Made for aluminium repair and selected dissimilar-metal joints.

Aluminium to aluminium Repair work

Use for small aluminium repair areas, sheet metal work and compatible aluminium service components.

Aluminium to copper HVAC/R tubing

Useful for selected aluminium-to-copper tube repair tasks in refrigeration and air conditioning work.

Aluminium to brass Dissimilar metals

Supports selected aluminium-to-brass repair work where the component and procedure are suitable.

Repair workflow

Clean, flux, heat and flow.

01 Prepare the surface

Remove oil, oxide, coating, paint and contamination from the repair area before heating.

02 Apply flux precisely

Use the applicator to place flux where the solder needs to flow.

03 Heat the base metal

Bring the work area up to temperature with controlled heat, avoiding nearby components.

04 Feed and inspect

Feed solder into the heated joint, then allow the repair to cool before checking the result.

Heat-control notes

Small aluminium repairs are all about controlled temperature.

Heat the work area evenly and keep the torch or heat source moving. Overheating aluminium, insulation, coil fins, nearby plastics or painted surfaces can damage the component before the solder has a chance to do its job.

Clean metal first The kit works best when the repair surface is clean and mechanically prepared.
Protect the surroundings Shield nearby wiring, insulation, plastics, labels, paint and refrigerant-sensitive areas.
Check the repair type Confirm the component does not need a certified structural or pressure-rated repair process.

Storage and handling

Keep the kit clean, sealed and ready.

Store the solder, flux and applicator in a clean dry area. Keep flux containers closed when not in use and check the applicator tip before starting a repair.

Hot-work reminders

  • Read the SDS and follow site hot-work procedures before heating metals.
  • Use suitable eye, hand and respiratory protection for soldering, fluxing or heating work.
  • Keep flux, heat and flame away from combustible materials and sensitive equipment.
  • Do not use on safety-critical repairs unless the repair method is approved for that application.
