Tubing layout work

Shape refrigerant and service tubing without crushing the bend.

The UW-70015 helps technicians form smooth bends in smaller-diameter tubing where a clean line path matters. The triple-channel body covers three common outside diameters, while the marked angle guide supports repeatable left-hand, right-hand and offset bends.

  • Bends 1/4 in., 5/16 in. and 3/8 in. O.D. soft tubing.
  • Suitable for soft copper, aluminium and soft stainless steel tubing.
  • Marked bend guide supports accurate angles up to 180°.
  • Helps reduce kinking, flattening and uneven tube paths.
  • Compact hand-tool format suits service vehicles and workshop benches.

Where it earns its place

Use the triple tube bender when a straight run needs to be shaped cleanly around equipment, panels, service access or existing pipework.

  • HVAC/R refrigerant line layout and repair work.
  • Refrigeration service tubing and small pipework adjustments.
  • Neat installation bends where hand-forming would risk a kinked tube.

Bend control

Set the tube, read the scale, make the bend.

The lower half of the tool holds the tube in the selected channel while the lever applies pressure through the bend. The visible angle guide helps the operator stop at the required bend angle.

01 Choose the channel

Select the groove that matches the tubing outside diameter before beginning the bend.

02 Seat the tube

Place the tubing fully into the channel so it is supported through the bend.

03 Pull to angle

Use the lever and calibrated markings to form the required bend up to 180°.

04 Check the line path

Confirm the bend clears panels, equipment edges and service access before final fitting.

Tube-size guide

Three channels for common small-diameter tubing.

Small channel 1/4 in. O.D.

Useful for small service tubing and tight layouts where hand-bending can easily kink the line.

Middle channel 5/16 in. O.D.

A practical intermediate size for compact refrigeration and HVAC/R service work.

Large channel 3/8 in. O.D.

Use for larger soft tubing runs that still need a controlled hand-bender radius.

Workshop and site checks

Prepare the tube before making the bend.

Clean, round tubing bends more predictably. Mark the bend point, remove burrs where needed and avoid bending damaged, hardened or unsupported tube.

Mark the bend Use a clear mark so the bend lands where the tube route needs it.
Support the tubing Keep the tube seated in the channel through the full lever movement.
Avoid reworking Repeatedly bending the same point can weaken or distort soft tubing.

Tool care

Keep the channels clean and the pivot moving freely.

Wipe down the bending channels after use, keep the tool free from grit and check the pivot and angle markings before starting critical bends.

Use notes

  • Confirm the tube material and outside diameter before selecting a channel.
  • Do not use on tube sizes or materials outside the tool’s intended range.
  • Wear suitable PPE when cutting, deburring or bending metal tubing.
  • Keep hands clear of pinch points around the pivot and forming shoe.
