Sump Heater / Crakcase Compressors

The Calorflex Sump Heater range is designed for use on refrigeration and air conditioning compressors to help maintain oil temperature during compressor off-cycles. By warming the compressor sump or crankcase, these heaters help reduce refrigerant migration into the oil, supporting smoother start-up and helping protect the compressor from oil dilution, foaming and potential wear.

These heaters are suited for HVAC/R service, refrigeration systems, heat pumps, chillers and compressor applications where crankcase heating is required. The range includes multiple wattages and fitment sizes, allowing technicians to select the correct heater based on compressor diameter and heating requirement.

Crankcase heaters are commonly used to keep the compressor warmer than the coldest part of the system, helping prevent refrigerant condensing into the compressor oil while the system is off.
