Fast surface heating

Flat, flexible heat for equipment panels, trays and warm surfaces.

The CEFx etched foil heater range uses a nickel/chrome resistive circuit enclosed between insulating layers. The flat construction helps transfer heat evenly across the mounting surface while keeping the heater compact enough for equipment builds and replacement work.

  • Designed for surface and fluid-heating applications.
  • Suited to bain-marie units, hot plates, food warmers and heated surfaces.
  • Flexible flat heater construction supports close contact with the heated surface.
  • Available through Omni as 650W, 700W, 1200W and 1500W listed options.
  • Custom dimensions and powers may be produced on request after feasibility checks.

Where it makes sense

Use an etched foil heater where the job calls for a thin heating element with broad surface contact rather than a cable, band or tubular heater.

  • Bain-marie and catering equipment heating.
  • Hot plates, food warmers and heated display surfaces.
  • Flat equipment surfaces that need controlled heat transfer.

Range selector

Pick by wattage, footprint and heated surface area.

Compare the listed CEFx models by output and heater size so the selected foil heater suits the equipment surface, heat load and available mounting area.

650W option

CEFB0363

650W275 × 375 mm

Compact listed heater footprint for smaller heated panels, trays or surfaces requiring controlled flat heating.

700W option

CEFB0364

700W270 × 460 mm

Longer narrow footprint for surfaces where width is limited but additional heated length is useful.

1200W option

CEFB0365

1200W290 × 470 mm

Higher-output mid-size option for equipment that needs stronger heat input across a moderate footprint.

1500W option

CEFB0366

1500W450 × 575 mm

Largest listed heater in the range, suited to wider surfaces and higher heat-load applications.

1Match the footprintCheck the available mounting area and keep the heater fully supported by the surface.
2Check the heat loadChoose the wattage that suits the application, material and required temperature response.
3Plan the controlsCalorflex notes thermostats, thermocouples, probe pockets, thermal fuses, NTC and PT100 options are available on request.

Use notes

Before fitting a foil heater.

Surface condition, heater contact, electrical protection and temperature control all matter. Confirm the equipment surface and heating target before energising the heater.

Fit to a clean surfaceRemove dirt, oil and loose material so the heater can sit flat against the mounting surface.
Avoid folds and air gapsKeep the foil heater flat and evenly supported to reduce hot spots and poor heat transfer.
Control the temperatureUse suitable sensing, switching or limiting hardware for the equipment and heated material.
Follow electrical proceduresConfirm voltage, load, earthing, protection and site safety requirements before installation.
