Constant Power Drain Heater

The Calorflex Constant Power Drain Heater is a compact electric heating cable designed for refrigeration, air conditioning and cold room applications where reliable drain line heating is required. It provides a consistent heat output to help prevent ice build-up, condensation freezing and blocked drain lines during defrost and low-temperature operation.

Built with a 7.5 x 5.5mm cable diameter, this constant power heater is suited for installation in or around drain channels, condensate lines and refrigeration equipment where controlled heat is needed to maintain flow and reduce freezing issues. Calorflex constant power heating cables are commonly used in industrial refrigeration and cold rooms, with the heating section identified by marked connection points along the cable.

The range is available in three wattage options, allowing technicians to select the correct heater output for the application. Calorflex’s CPCx cable platform supports operating temperatures from -60°C to +200°C, with short-period capability up to +230°C, and is produced and tested to EN60335 with EC certification.
